What We Do

Community Outreach initially began its work in 2002, by focusing on three neighborhoods – Boise, Humboldt and Overlook.  We hosted Neighborhood Conversations where a broad cross-section of community participated in sharing their ideas for a healthy and vibrant neighborhood.

Today, we work in the greater Portland area sharing the lessons, resources, and strategies we learned from our early work.  We continue to provide opportunities for neighbors and community to come together, identify common interests, and move ideas into action for a healthy, vibrant community.

Community Outreach serves as a free resource for those who see value in connecting with each other.

We host events where people get to know one another and build positive relationships.

We offer free tools and strategies to strengthen community-building efforts.

We lift up and share the inspirational stories of everyday people doing extraordinary things throughout Portland.
